A bomb is a card powerful enough to win a game on its own once it resolves, especially in Limited formats where the average card quality is low enough that one strong card can dominate.

Why Bombs Matter More in Limited

Constructed decks have room for multiple powerful cards and consistent ways to find them. A Limited deck only gets what it drafted, so a single bomb can be the difference between a strong deck and a mediocre one.

Drafting Around Bombs

Taking a bomb early, even outside your preferred colours, is often correct in the first few picks of a draft, since raw power wins more games than a perfectly on-colour curve.

Strategic tip

In the first pack of a draft, take the bomb over a merely good on-colour card almost every time. You can still find a second colour later; you rarely get a second chance at that bomb.
