1. Choose a Card

2. Take an Action (Simultaneously)

- Note: You cannot build duplicate structures with the same name
Build a Wonder Stage
- Use your selected card as a construction marker
- Pay the resource cost shown on your Wonder board
- Place the card face down, partially tucked under your Wonder board
- Gain the Wonder stage benefit immediately
- Remember: Wonder stages must be built in order from left to right
Discard for Coins
- Place the card face down in the discard pile
- Collect 3 coins from the bank
- This option is useful when you can’t afford to build, or when you want to deny a card to opponents
3. Pass Remaining Cards
After everyone has completed their action, you’ll pass your remaining hand of cards to a neighboring player. The direction changes with each Age:
- Age I: Pass to the left (clockwise)
- Age II: Pass to the right (counter-clockwise)
- Age III: Back to the left (clockwise)
This changing direction creates different dynamics between you and your neighbors throughout the game, forcing you to adapt your strategy each Age.
Special Cases to Remember
Final Turn of Each Age On the sixth and final turn of each Age, you’ll receive only two cards. You’ll choose one to play as normal and discard the other without receiving the usual 3 coins.
Resource Management To build most cards and Wonder stages, you’ll need resources. These can come from:
- Your own city’s production cards
- Trading with your immediate neighbors (left and right only)
- Special cards that provide resources or reduce costs
